Una serie di riprese subacquee ci parlano dell’indiscusso piacere che dà l’acqua del mare quando ci immergiamo, nuotiamo o rimaniamo in balia del suo movimento galleggiando per poi spostare l’interesse sulla scoperta e sull’individuazione di nuove densità, di nuove aderenze, ma anche di nuovi limiti che non sapevamo di avere o che semplicemente dimentichiamo di avere.

In “25 secondi” viene messo in evidenza il senso di precarietà della percezione temporale: come si può qualificare o quantificare la durata di un evento, di un momento più o meno lungo della nostra esistenza in relazione alla nostra esperienza? In che modo e in che misura la durata delle cose condiziona il loro stesso manifestarsi? Quanta importanza può e deve avere una frazione di secondo rispetto al minuto, alle ore, ai mesi e agli anni?

The sequence of underwater video shoots. Ordinary video shoots which exploit unforeseeable movements and continuously changing scenarios, combined with shoots employing very selective framing. Along with the joy that being in contact with the water gives us when we dive into, swim or float in the sea, our interest also focuses on the discovery and identification of new densities and adherences, as well as the limits we discover for the first time or have simply forgotten we had.

“25 seconds” highlights the precariousness in our perception of time: how can we qualify or quantify the duration of an event, or a moment of our lives, in relation to our experience? How and to what extent does the duration of a perception affect the way in which it manifests itself? Since the point of contact between life and non-life is irremediable, what importance can or should a fraction of a second have in relation to a minute, an hour, month or even a span of years?
